Where can you find robots, dance battles and a Pokémon-style adventure, all in one place? It sounds impossible, but that’s how developer Sloth Gloss Games describes its upcoming game, Steel Century Groove. Coming to PC in January 2026, this adventure game has you exploring a post-apocalyptic Earth, beating down your enemies by busting your best moves.

Steel Century Groove boasts RPG-like elements, but instead of battling out against your foes old-school, you’ll instead engage in a rhythm-based dance battle. There’s a banging (and copyright-friendly) soundtrack you can enjoy, but what interests us most is that you can import your own music and groove away to that. Fancy bopping to Justin Bieber? We won’t judge. Or reigning supreme while Slipknot plays in the background? Rock on.

What sets Steel City Groove apart from other rhythm games is that you don’t need to press specific buttons to match notes. Rather, in control of a mech, you’ll choose from its range of abilities. There are multiple mechs in the game and each one of them has its own unique roster of abilities.

With a story that promises humour and charm, we’re looking forward to finding out more about Steel Century Groove. An unsettling post-apocalyptic world, giant dancing robots and the promise of a cool adventure — what more could you want? It’s set to launch on PC on 28th January 2026, and there’s a demo available on Steam right now.
